Kinetic Digital Clock

A seven-segment display clock where each segment is physically pushed and pulled by servo motors rather than illuminated by LEDs. Thirty hobby servos actuate segments across four digits, creating a mesmerizing mechanical display that tells time through depth and motion.

Built with an Arduino, 3D printed housing, and snap-fit modular construction for easy iteration. Each servo required individual calibration due to manufacturing variance — a reminder that the gap between digital design and physical reality is always where the real work lives.
